Since we want the best for our puppies and their future families, we are responsible for:

• Register the puppy with Limited AKC registration (Puppy’s registration name must have the prefix “Sweet Home’s” followed by the name of the buyer’s choosing. Please have this name ready at puppy pick-up day)

• Dock the puppy’s tail and remove the puppy’s dew claws

• Administer first set of vaccinations and worming for the puppy

• Provide Puppy Buyer with a veterinary health check for the puppy

• Walking our puppies through the Puppy Culture program (adapted from their website)
  Puppy Culture is your guide to raising your puppies to be calm enrichment seekers, ready to take on life’s challenges with love and joy to spare. With input from top veterinary behaviorists, breeders, and dog trainers, Puppy Culture touches on early neurological stimulation, to aggression prevention, to potty training, and manding, during the critical learning period of their first 12 weeks of life.

We do require our clients to fill out our puppy purchase agreement. Additionally, if the puppy buyer can no longer care for the puppy, we require to be given the first opportunity to resume ownership.

The total price for a puppy is $1500. Deposit of $300 holds your spot on our waitlist. This deposit may be paid through Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check. The remaining balance is to be paid by cash or cashier’s check on Puppy Pick-up Day.

Puppy deposits on existing litters are non-refundable. If the purchaser is unable to move forward with the purchase of a puppy from an existing litter, Sweet Home Kennels will be released from the obligation to hold the puppy and may sell this puppy to another customer. Your puppy deposit will remain available for you to use toward the purchase of a future puppy. You will have up to 2 years to apply the deposit to the purchase of a puppy before it is forfeited.

There will be a PICK-UP DAY for your puppy. It is imperative that you pick-up your puppy on that day. That is the same day that you will pick-out your puppy according to the order of the deposits. If you cannot attend on pick-up day, you will be required to pick your puppy via FaceTime. If Sweet Home Kennels has to board your puppy after 9 weeks, $10 a day for kenneling will be added to your balance.

We do not ship puppies, and ask that owners pick up their puppy in person. We are located in South Alabama.
